SAAQ Inspector

We are currently seeking a SAAQ inspector for the day shift to join our team in Laval. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing mechanical inspections of trucks and informing customers of any defects found.

Responsibilities:
– Conduct inspections according to the standards and guidelines established by the SAAQ;
– Complete the necessary training to maintain accreditations;
– Explain defects to customers and answer their questions;
– Complete the documentation required for vehicle compliance;
– Enter data into the SAAQ platform;
– Perform any other related duties as required.
Requirements:
– DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in heavy vehicle mechanics or automotive mechanics (required)
– Experience as an inspector or in a relevant role
– Thorough knowledge of SAAQ regulations
– Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
– Autonomy and attention to detail
*** A technician without SAAQ accreditation will be required to pass the SAAQ exam as a condition of employment. ***
Additional Information:
– 40-hour work week, day shift (5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.).
– Employment Status: Permanent, full-time.
